Bringing
High Speed Internet To The New West
|
What is wDSL Internet?
WDSL stands for Wireless Digital Subscriber Link. Internet connection is delivered via fixed wireless technology,
without wires. It is not delivered via satellite, phone lines or cable. Western Broadband does
the installation of
the equipment and configuration for your high speed internet connection.
How does it work?
There will be small radio/antenna installed outside the house. Location of the antenna will be selected to get best signal strength and signal quality. Customer may need clear line of sight, near line of sight or no line of sight. It really depends on your location from our point of presence
and technology we select to deliver the service at your location. After we install
the radio/antenna outside the house, we will run a network
cable to your computer. The Signal will travel from your house to one our towers before it
reaches the Internet.
What kind of speed I can get?
We offer
WDSL packages that are as high as
1.5 Mbps and as low as 128 kbps.
Always On Connection
WDSL is an always on connection, there is no need to dial-up to the internet. You don't need phone lines, so you don't need to worry
about getting busy signals or getting booted off. Since your connection is always
connected, you just have to open your browser or e-mail and you are there instantly.
Cheaper Than Dialup
If you consider the cost of internet account from AOL or MSN, which typically costs $21.95, and the cost of extra phone line
which is $30, So the total cost will be $51.95 to get 26k to 53k internet connection. Once you order the high speed access
from Western Broadband, you will no longer need an MSN/AOL account or the extra phone
line. So, actually it is cheaper to surf at
high speed.
Multiple Computers
You can connect multiple computers with your high speed connection.
